BIEBL / BIEBEL / BIBL -- Wenzel(B. 1865) and Elenora (Bauer)(B. 1871) - both from Bohemia / Czechoslovakia. Elenora is from Oberwalden. I am trying to connect
possible brothers in Baltimore in 1900. Possibly: Lawrence, Alois, and Ignatz.

WEINEKOETTER / Winekotter / Wienkotter, etc., etc.
Bernard's parents were Franz(B. 1832) and Gertrude(B. 1834) (nee BERKEMEIER or BERGMEIER). St. John's Catholic Church records of Oelde were microfilmed in
the 1970's and are available for viewing at LDS family history centers. This unique surname is found near the town of Oelde, Westfalen, Germany. The name also
appears in adjoining towns of Diestedde and Bochum/Beckem. There are no Weinekoetter surnames in the U.S.A. Bernard(1870) had two sisters who stayed in
Germany - Anna Elisabeth(1867) and Mary Anna(1874)

O'CONNOR / Conner
Bartley(B. 1824) and Winnie(1839) (nee BOHAN) CONNOR came from Galway and settled in Ellicott City, Maryland around 1860. Bart may have arrived by way of
New York. There is still a side of the family (CONNOR / BOHAN) that was in New York area circa 1900 - may have been jewelers. Winnie came from Portumna,
Galway.

ELLICOTT CITY, MARYLAND
Do you have ancestors from Ellicott City, Maryland in the 1800's? Were they Catholic? Look for the link on the main page for Saint Paul's. That will take you to a page
showing the Baptisms, marriages, necrology and the tombstone inscriptions from St. Paul's of Ellicott City, Maryland. Also, there is a map to the cemetery.

BLACK IRISH
There is an old story in our family about the "Black Irish." One gg-uncle had black hair and dark skin like a Spaniard. The rest of us are white as paper. This parallels
one of the folk tale variations that has been carried on by some Americans from Galway. The Spanish Armada sent to invade England lost many ships in a storm off
the coast of Galway. The folk tale says that the survivors intermarried with the Irish and that is why the dark complexion skips a generation or two. However, it is
very unlikely that the English allowed any escapees. This is just a folk-tale. For more information click on Black Irish link on the Home page by T. Kunesh.
